What is FACTS?
FACTS is the online platform that processes tuition payments and financial aid awards. All September School families must have a FACTS account. FACTS Customer Support: (866) 441-4637
How often are we billed?
Tuition can be billed annually, each semester or monthly (10 months).
What if we need to withdraw mid-year?
Tuition is prorated from 30 days of written notice of withdrawal (see your Billing Agreement for the fine print). For example, if a family notifies September School via email that their student is withdrawing on December 1, their total tuition balance will be prorated from their start date through December 30. Their FACTS account will be adjusted accordingly. Pay-in-full and early-bird discounts are voided at withdrawal. Approved refunds will be issued within 90 days of written notice.
There are no refunds or reductions in tuition for students who have an excessive number of absences, disciplinary issues, or are expelled.
Is there a sibling discount?
Siblings attending simultaneously receive a 10% discount on the lower tuition amount. For example, Jane is a 10th grader and her brother John is in 7th grade. John’s tuition will be discounted 10%
Who can I contact with questions?
If you have a financial/tuition related question or a question about enrollment or scheduling a visit, contact Michelle Mullin at michelle@septemberschool.org.
Can I pay with a 529 account?
The only way we can receive payments from a 529 is by check. You can send a check from the 529 account and it will be applied to your FACTS account.
Will I receive a 1098-T Tax Form for 529 accounts?
The 1098-T form is only for colleges or other post-secondary institutions. As a high school, we are a secondary institution and do not distribute this form.
What if I don't pay on time?
If tuition payments are delinquent, September School will assess late fees as follows: after 15 days past due, a 10% late fee will be applied to the account; an additional 10% late fee will be applied every 30 days payment is not made.
If you know your payment is not going to go through, please let us know. We would rather collaborate with families through human connection than to punish families who may be struggling. The more we can communicate, the more we can ensure the school is paid and the family isn’t further weighed down by late fees.
Can another family member/friend pay tuition for my student?
We can accept tuition payments from family members or friends and apply them to the student’s FACTS account. If a family member/friend is going to make all payments, they can be the FACTS account holder and set up their own payment profile.
I share custody with my student’s other parent(s), but we live in different households. Can we pay tuition separately?
Each household contributing tuition needs to fill out a Billing Agreement and will have their own FACTS account. On the Billing Agreement under contact information, there is a section that reads:
Please bill this party for*: __ 100% __ 50% __ Other Percentage, as specified here: _____%
If Parent #1 is responsible for 60% of tuition and Parent #2 is responsible for 40%, each parent needs to fill out a Billing Agreement indicating that percentage. Each parent will then get their own FACTS account with the percentage they are responsible for.
